Transmission intercepted

During our inbound flight home from Brazil, my team and I intercepted a strange communique over Panama.
At first, we thought it was just a fake coded language to throw us off. My communications specialist informed me that it was a Migou nest.
We worked to triangulate the locale and reported our findings back to HQ.

That night we were sent back out with a fireteam and Engel escort to the location in the Venezuela mountains. We found them alright and burned those bugs down. And all the villages surrounding the hive that had been overtaken.
Messy.

Allah prevail, it was bad. We were fortunate. We only lost 6 of a 15 man team. We left the Engel and radioed for a pick up. I can still hear it's howls. I cannot understand how any human would operate one of those.... creatures.
On our way back, a firefly team scorched the site to ensure we didn't miss anything.

I still can smell the death on my clothes.

Post 1

On assignment in southern hemisphere, en route home.
Have received notice of an upcoming mission with a unique twist. Will post more as I have information.
I'm in desperate need of something beyond the stake outs of terrorist cells. I've read enough newspapers and drank enough coffee to last me a life time.
My superior has been gracious enough to drop hints at the assignment, but still vague enough to keep me guessing.
I'll figure out.
I always do.
